about food n more

Hi -thanks for taking a look.   I’m Eric, the late 20 something year old Hoboken, NJ pilot of the internets blog  food n more.

From an early age food has been much more to me, my friends, and my family than simple sustenance.  Perhaps it was the thick, curry yellowed omnipresent skies that lurked over the horizon of my hometown of Edison, NJ (don’t just take my word for it…).  Or maybe it was the diversity of my neighborhood and town -must have been represented by all 7 continents.  Or perhaps the Freudian view:  my upbringing in a food conscious house. Whatever the case, it had an obvious impact.

Being an ‘about’ page, here’s the essentials:

Location:  Hoboken, NJ.  Home of baseball, Frank Sinatra, the most bars per square mile, and the zipper.

Day Job:  Marketing.  That is until I was laid off.

Favorite Food(s)Grimaldi’s coal brick oven pizza, Jamaican rice and peas, Pakistani kabobs, and cheese.  I like cheese.

Least Favorite Food(s): Fish, bacon (no, really), and anything having to do with mayo.

Favorite Cooking Tool: My 55″ (or what seems to be) skillet.  Trough amounts of food, anyone?

    Eric,
This is a very excellent & enlightening read!!! Entertaining besides. You are a fountain of food knowledge!!! Do you really hate tuna fish??? mixed with mayo. I hope that someone picks this up and uses your skill either in an email magazine/hand held one.
Best of luck in your job pursuits.
Perhaps this blog will bring about a new avenue of career for you…when one door closes another one opens as they say. Meanwhile, we shall be following you thru this site and getting educated. By the way, you increased my knowledge of beer by 100%.
